Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 2024
Overview
ZeroSend is designed with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, store, or have access to any files you transfer. Your data flows directly between devices using peer-to-peer WebRTC connections.
How ZeroSend Works
- Files are transferred directly between your device and the recipient's device
- No file data passes through or is stored on our servers
- Transfer sessions expire after 5 minutes
- Once the browser tab is closed, all data is permanently gone
Data We Collect
Signaling Data (Temporary)
We temporarily relay WebRTC signaling messages (connection offers, answers, and network information) to establish peer connections. This data is not logged and is discarded immediately after the connection is established.
No File Data
We never see, access, or store the contents of your files. File data flows directly between peers via encrypted WebRTC data channels.
No User Accounts
ZeroSend does not require registration or user accounts. We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
Encryption
All WebRTC data channels are encrypted using DTLS (Datagram Transport Layer Security). This means your file transfers are protected from eavesdropping during transit.
Cookies
ZeroSend does not use cookies or any tracking technologies. We do not track your usage or behavior on our site.
Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare for STUN/TURN services to help establish peer connections when direct connections are not possible. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to their services. No file data passes through these services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
